Michael J Fox was morn June 9, 1961, in Edmonton, Canada. His mom and dad, Bill and Phyllis were from Chiliwack. He has a younger sister, Jackie, who was born 3 years after him. His dad was a sergeant and was stationed at 6 different naval bases within 15 years. His parents got married in 1950 and 10 years later, Michael was born. Michael's original name was Michael Andrew Fox, but the 'J' was given to him, because it sounded more soothing to the name. In his later life, a doctor broke horrible news, telling him that he would be living with Partisans disease the rest of his life. He struggled in school, because of his lack of growth. Not thinking of anything of it, his parents just thought he was a late bloomer. In high school, he made something out of his drama course, and started recording small films at an early age. He had played ice hockey as a young boy, but mostly was interested in acting.

After a long night out, Michael woke up one morning and had noticed his fingers were twitching uncontrollably. A few days passes and it was was going on. He went to the doctor to see what they problem may be, but they just related it to stress. A few days had passed, and the twitching had gotten worse as time went on. Michael didn't see much of it, other than he thought he was just over reacting.

Being onset for a movie, Michael had a fill in for one of his stunts. While he had to pretend to hang himself, an accident had occurred. As the stunt was happening, he hadn't grabbed the rope right and started to choke. He passed out on the scene, and everyone rushed to and he was kept under a watchful eye for a few weeks.

Michael Fox has been an actor since the 1970's. He is most famous for his Back to the Future and Family Ties series. Not being fully diagnosed with his illness, he turned to drinking to numb the pain. And after 8 years, he sought help and finally went public with his illness. He was an inspiration to many people because of his illness. He started a foundation for researching the disease and to help cure it. The Michael J Fox Foundation has been a great success so far.

Til this day, Michael is still acting and staring in television shows. He has premiered in shows such as Scrubs, Boston Legal, Rescue Me.
